Cream Stew - クリームシチュー

This is an easy Japanese stew that is called "Cream Stew". We can prepare without a roux, but normally we Japanese use a box of roux like a photo. You might get a roux at an Asian grocery store. Today I'm going to cook using roux, but I'll show you how to cook "Cream Stew" without roux in the next time.
Cooking for less than 1 hour
Ingredients for 4 people
- 1 medium brown onion
- 1 carrot
- 2 medium potatoes
- 1/4 bunch of bloccoli
- 3 small white mushrooms
- 1 pound of meat / chicken or pork
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 1/2 of roux
- 2 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of milk

Today I'm going to use this roux. Usually a box of roux costs less than $4- (USD). If you buy this roux in Japan, the cost is less than $2-. A box of roux can be for 8 people.
1. Cut a vegetables and meat as you like.
2. Heat some oil into a big pot.
3. Then the oil is hot, throw the meat. When it's browned for a couple of minutes.
4. Throw the onion.
5. Then, throw the all vegetable.
6. Add the water.
7. Scoop a babble when the water is boiled.
8. Boil it about 15 minutes with a lid. And turn off the heat.
9. Add the roux into the pot. And mixed it until it melted.
10. Add a milk into the pot. Then boil again with low heat.
11. Enjoy with hand made bread or rice!
